About Mandros

Mandros is a specialty food store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 351 N Charlotte St, Lancaster, PA 17603, which places it among the local businesses of Lancaster that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Lancaster with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Pennsylvania may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 1 day of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 AM–6 PM. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (717) 397-8926. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is mandrosimportedfoods.net, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 215 reviews, which is a strong result for a specialty food store in Lancaster and suggests consistent service.

Lancaster is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lancaster follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A true hidden gem! This family-run specialty food store is packed with incredible cheeses, pΓ’tΓ©, olives, nuts, butters, and unique finds from around the world that you won’t see in ordinary grocery stores. The quality is outstanding, the selection is thoughtfully curated, and the owners are friendly, knowledgeable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and discovering something new.

During my visit to S. Mandros Grocery ,I had the chance to explore one of Lancaster’s oldest Greek-owned food shops. As I walked through the aisles, I noticed shelves filled with olives, cheeses, herbs, and imported pantry items that reflected decades of Greek culinary tradition. I learned about mizithra cheese from the staff, who explained how it is often used in both savoury and sweet dishes in Greece. This small detail helped me appreciate how everyday ingredients carry cultural memory. The visit left me with the sense that a simple neighborhood grocery can preserve and share an entire culinary heritage with the Lancaster community. @fandmcollege @fandm_history #FandMEverywhere

Mandros grocery is a gem in the Lancaster residential community providing quality imported goods. The shelves were filled with food that you couldn't find in a regular grocery store and versions that were not americanized such as the Nutella in the original glass jars. When I went the man working there was incredibly kind and pointed me to the container of Baklava that I ended up buying for ten dollars. The Baklava itself was delicious with a strong walnut flavor and sheets of pastry like paper soaked in syrup that exploded in my mouth. This type of baklava is clearly Turkish style which instead of having a honey syrup has a simple syrup. This mishmash between the Turkish baklava and a greek market may have happened because there was lots of mixing between greek and Turkish immigrants in the US and Lancaster specifically. If you are willing to spend a little bit more it's worth a visit. @F&M

My favorite place to find something new to eat. Amazing selection of cheese, peppers, teas, super high quality soy sauce, and more. The owner is very friendly and can help you find options you're likely to enjoy.
